ABOUT
Born and raised in California’s Bay Area, Ryan began his filmmaking journey in 2016. Over the years he obtained his Bachelors of Arts in Cinema at San Francisco State University and his Masters of Arts in Cinema at Maryland Institute College of Art. His most notable projects include short documentaries such as CHPAA 2020, a film documenting a medical mission in Cambodia, along with Island Soul, an expository film showcasing perspectives about educational cram schools in Taiwan. Ryan is at most in his prime when he is shooting stories for documentaries. Every person comes from a unique background, and listening to empathize with each person is an inspiration to keep sharing stories through film.
In the more recent years he has taken his film industry expertise into the FPV drone world. Combining both fields has opened new forms of filmmaking for Ryan that were not possible 6 years ago. Whether slow methodical one-take indoor drone shots or a fast paced car chasing scene, both form factors are fields Ryan currently explores.
